The Revenue Management and Analytics (RM&A) team supports clients across Walt Disney Parks & Resorts including Ticketing, Resorts, Merchandise and Food & Beverage in the core competencies of yield management, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing, promotions and optimization. Candidates should have a natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize and be a team player in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Make an Impact by…..

  • Providing data mining and analysis to support decision-making for Resorts Revenue Management
  • Analyzing large quantities of data to understand and drive Guest booking behaviors across sales channels
  • Driving innovation through the development of tools to measure the effectiveness of revenue management strategies
  • Leveraging data visualization techniques and communication skills to identify insights and present complex analytical findings in clear business terms
  • Creating new dashboards that allow for an interactive visual analysis of data
  • Proactively partnering with stakeholders to collaborate on processes and validate data in order to complete defined project work

Basic Qualifications

What You Bring to the Role…..

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge in Tableau
  • Experience using SAS or a similar analytical platform
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Strategic problem solving & analytical skills
  • Experience collecting & analyzing data and reporting on the results
  • Intense attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Database experience
  • General knowledge in one of the following industries: Merchandise Retail, Hotel/Resorts, Food & Beverage, Travel & Tourism

Required Education

  • Senior or higher working towards (or recently graduated with) a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Advanced Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing Research or other related quantitative field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

Preferred Education

  • Working towards (or recently graduated with) a Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Advanced Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing Research or other related quantitative field

Additional Information

  • Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from January – June 2017.
  • Required Materials: Resume and transcripts must be uploaded at time of online application.
  • Housing: A limited number of housing is available for Florida based participants. Interns are able to sign up for housing once they have accepted an internship offer.
  • Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
