A day in the life…

  • Create and maintain digital image files of merchandise product for upload to the SIMBA sales and inventory system, Product Locator and Shop Disney Parks app.
  • Assist with capture of product dimensions, as well as, product descriptions to be included with photo and dimension data. Contribute to the continued development of process and data capture guidelines “best practices”.
  • Support ongoing development of systems and processes designed to enable guest way finding to merchandise locations/website for specific product/purchase.
  • Weekly productivity metrics and routine reviews of data quality will be reviewed by the Merchandise Information and Process Management team.

Basic Qualifications

Showcase your skills in….

  • Proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with DSLR Photography Equipment, e.g., cameras, tripods, lighting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in offsite Photo Shoots, set up/tear down of portable studio, lighting
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Ortery Photobench and Clothing Pad
  • Experience in Merchandise Product Development or Retail Sales

Preferred Education

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher earning a degree in Fine Arts, Communications, Graphic Design, Photography or closely related major or recently graduated within the past 6 months.

Internship Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability
  • Must provide own transportation to/from work
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)

Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are January 2017 to June 2017. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

Housing: A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
