Global Logistics Cost Analyst Summer Intern (Undergraduate Level)

As a TOMS Summer Intern you will work on individualized projects that not only grow your talents and skill sets but also add real value to our business. You will have a personal mentor, participate in networking events, meet with senior-level executives, and attend field-trips designed to build your knowledge about improving lives through business.
The program will run from June 20 to August 18, 2017. We require that our interns are able to commit to the full length of the program and are able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
TOMS HQ manages a global freight network of transportation and service providers to support our commercial and giving shoes (One for One Mission). The TOMS global supply chain team must select, manage and audit each provider to ensure high quality service at an optimal price. The global logistics cost analyst intern would help us document and streamline our freight management processes and ultimately help develop business requirements to select a freight payment and audit company. Would help us enhance our manual freight payment log so that the manual inputs could be used in an Macro enhanced KPI payment tracker and budget tool (both giving and commercial).
- Document the current payment process for each partner (Operating Procedure).
- Develop a Visio flow of freight payment process/type.
- Support Key Performance indicators and reporting
- Document a cost allocation matrix (table of existing pairs)
- Develop a global freight quoting calculator based on negotiated rates
- Review and document inbound freight invoices with the supply chain team
