Overview

The Company is offering great business career opportunities in a global and international environment. We are looking for an ambitious Student (m/f) supporting our business who is interested in doing an Internship on Uplift of storage tanks.
API 650 provides a simple calculation method for calculating uplift of storage tanks. Over the years this calculation method changed. A substantial number of our existing tanks might not meet the Mechanical Integrity as specified by the latest version of the design code. As soon as the tank and/or its foundation is modified, the latest version of the design code shall be
applied. Nowadays we need to apply Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in order to design these modified tanks. We are looking for a calculation method which is less general than the API 650 calculation method, but more user friendly than FEA. Furthermore this calculation method can be used to evaluate existing tanks and determine required measures.
You will be remunerated. In addition you can stay in a hotel room free of charge and share a living room and kitchen with max. 17 other (international) students. In the event these rooms are full you will be provided with alternative accommodation.

  • Currently studying on a master degree Mechanical Engineering
